Frequently Asked Questions
Some friendly advice from your local, professional painters.
A fresh coat of paint can completely transform your space. That’s exciting, but it can also be nerve-racking if you’re uncertain about any part of the process. We want you to feel confident in us and our work, so we’ve answered some of the most frequent questions we get from customers below. And if you have any questions we’ve missed, don’t be afraid to reach out and ask. We’re always happy to talk.
For interior jobs, please remove all decorative items off the walls and move all furniture and movable household items a minimum of 3 feet from the walls. We will take the time to cover your furniture with drop sheets or plastic. Don’t worry about light switch and outlet covers. We’ll take them off and put them back once the repaint is completed.
For exterior jobs, please move all BBQs and outdoor furniture, away from the house. Please also park your vehicles as far from the house as possible—we want to make sure we only paint your home.
Once we’ve finished, our crew will tidy and remove any garbage. As you re-arrange your space, please remember to be gentle as paint takes multiple days to fully cure.
Our go-to paint comes from Benjamin Moore or Cloverdale Paint. We pride ourselves in choosing the best product for your home that provides proper coverage and necessary durability specific to your space.
Of course! We will make arrangements to ensure that your home is locked-up if no one is home when we have to leave.
Yes, we are fully licensed with the city and insured with $5 Million General Liability Insurance. We are also compliant with all WorkSafe BC best practices.
We accept cheques, e-transfers, cash, and credit cards. Please note that credit card payments can be subject to additional charges.
All of our estimates include the cost of paint, unless otherwise specified or agreed upon. We take care of any required paint matching, and our crew will order and pick up paint so we have it on site at the start of your job.
We will also leave any remaining paint and the corresponding paintbrushes with you for any future touch ups.
We know it can be difficult to pick a colour, especially when paint swatches are so small! We’re happy to work with you to select a colour that honours your vision while being mindful of how the undertones or shade might be impacted by the lighting or surrounding objects in your space.
No. We pride ourselves in having a detailed estimating process, and therefore, there will be no changes to your estimate unless the scope of work changes too.
